Server optimization & performance

Your server runs, but slowly. A site that crawls at peak hours, requests that time out, CPU pegged, cloud bills climbing. We audit, optimize and speed up your existing infrastructure — Plesk, OVH, Hetzner, MySQL, Redis, Nginx, Apache — without migrating everything.

Our server expertise

Every performance lever, without breaking anything.

Before you pay for a bigger server, we squeeze everything your current infrastructure can give. Often that's a 3x performance gain for zero extra hosting cost.

MySQL optimization

Slow query log analysis, missing indexes, poorly designed schemas, unsuitable my.cnf configurations. Typical gains: 5x to 10x on critical queries.

Cache & OPcache

Setup or tuning of Redis, Varnish, Memcached, OPcache. Fine-grained configuration based on your actual load, not generic recipes from the internet.

Core Web Vitals

LCP, FID, INP, CLS — the metrics Google watches closely. Server-side optimization (TTFB, compression, headers) and asset-side optimization (lazy loading, image formats, fonts).

Security hardening

Clean Nginx/Apache configuration, security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options), robust .htaccess, fail2ban, ModSecurity, blocking of aggressive bots.

Infrastructure optimization

Sizing audit (CPU, RAM, IOPS), moving to HTTP/2 or HTTP/3, SSD vs NVMe, choosing the right Plesk/OVH/Hetzner plan for your actual load.

Cloud cost reduction

When infrastructure is poorly sized, you often pay for oversized resources. We identify what's underused and streamline it — savings of 30-50% on some bills.

Use cases

When server optimization changes everything.

A few situations where our clients order a server optimization, with the gains typically achieved.

E-commerce crashing at peak

Black Friday, sales, product launch: your store can't handle the load. MySQL optimization + cache + load testing ahead of the event.

Discuss my project

Slow site despite a big server

The hardware is there but the configuration doesn't use it. Often: OPcache disabled, MySQL misconfigured, N+1 queries, no cache. 3x to 10x gains are common.

This is what I need

Low PageSpeed score

Google factors your speed into SEO. A score under 50 means a ranking penalty. We get you to 90+ on mobile and desktop with a combination of server and asset work.

Assess my situation

Rising cloud bill

You pay more every month with no performance gain. We identify the oversizing and optimize to cut costs. Savings of 30 to 50% are common.

Let's talk about it

Expected traffic spike

TV feature, ad campaign, seasonal peak: we prepare the infrastructure for 10x your usual traffic so everything stays smooth on the day.

See if this fits

Migration without breakage

You want to change hosting providers or upgrade tiers. We plan the migration, configure the new infrastructure, and switch over with no visible downtime.

Our method

From audit to fast infrastructure.

01

Free audit

Initial free diagnosis within 48h: we access your logs and server metrics, and identify the main bottlenecks. Summary report.

02

Optimization plan

Prioritized list of improvement levers with an estimated gain for each. You choose what we tackle first based on budget and impact.

03

Load testing before

Objective measurement of current performance (response time, requests/second, latency) to establish a baseline for comparison.

04

Optimization on staging

We apply the changes on a staging environment and confirm no regression breaks existing functionality.

05

Production switch-over

Deployment during off-peak hours, enhanced monitoring for 24-48h, rollback plan ready in case of an unexpected issue.

06

Load testing after

Objective measurement of the gains: response time, load capacity, PageSpeed score, Core Web Vitals. Comparative report with figures.

07

Final documentation

A reference document for your teams: what was changed, how it's configured, how to maintain the gains over time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we necessarily need to change server to get faster?

No, in most cases not. 80% of slowness issues come from poor configuration, not a lack of hardware. We always start by optimizing what's already there — often that's enough. If the infrastructure is genuinely undersized, we then support the migration.

What performance gains can we expect?

It varies a lot depending on the starting point. For a poorly configured WordPress or PrestaShop site: 3x to 10x is common on response times. For a site that's already well optimized, gains are more modest (10-30%). A precise commitment is given after the free audit.

What environments do you work on?

Plesk (our specialty), cPanel, dedicated servers on OVH, Hetzner, Scaleway, IONOS, AWS, GCP. LAMP, LEMP, Node and Python stacks. If your infrastructure is unusual, we assess it case by case, but it's rare that we can't work with it.

Do we risk breaking the site during optimization?

Everything is tested on a staging environment first. Full backups before every change. A rollback plan is prepared. The switch happens during off-peak hours with enhanced monitoring. No blind changes to production.

Is this a one-off or a recurring service?

Both are possible. Either a one-off engagement (audit + optimization + delivery of a tuned server, which you then manage), or ongoing follow-up as part of a maintenance plan.

How long does it take to optimize a server?

The audit takes under 48h. The optimization itself: 1 to 2 weeks for a standard case, 3 to 4 weeks for complex cases (multiple servers, distributed architectures). Timeline confirmed in the quote.
